Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these terms

By downloading, purchasing, installing, or using Reel Room, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service. If you are using Reel Room on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. The product and your license

Reel Room is a PCVR application that plays media from your own sources — a Jellyfin server, a local drive, or a network share — onto a virtual screen inside hand-crafted environments. Subject to these terms and your payment of any applicable one-time purchase price, Union25 grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Reel Room for your own non-commercial entertainment.

You may not, except as permitted by applicable law:

• copy, resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or redistribute the Service;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service;
• remove or alter any proprietary notices, or circumvent any license, security, or access controls;
• use the Service to infringe the intellectual-property rights of others or to violate any law.

3. Your media and your sources

Reel Room does not provide, host, or stream any films, television, music, or other media. You supply your own content and your own server or storage. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to access, store, and play any media you use with the Service, and for complying with the terms of any third-party server or service you connect to.

4. Third-party services and hardware

Reel Room interoperates with third-party software and hardware, including Jellyfin, Steam, and various OpenXR-compatible VR headsets. These are provided by their respective owners under their own terms, and Union25 is not responsible for them. Reel Room is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Jellyfin, Inc., Valve, or any headset manufacturer. Purchases made through Steam are also subject to the Steam Subscriber Agreement.

5. Purchases and refunds

Reel Room is sold as a one-time purchase. Where you buy through a storefront such as Steam, billing, taxes, and refunds are handled by that storefront under its own refund policy. Please review the applicable storefront’s policy before purchasing.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, environments, artwork, the “Reel Room” name, and logo, is owned by Union25 and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the license expressly granted above, no rights are transferred to you. All third-party trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are referenced for compatibility purposes only.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every configuration of hardware, headset, or media file.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Union25 will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for it.

9. Health and safety

Virtual reality may cause discomfort, disorientation, or motion sickness. Follow the safety guidance provided by your headset manufacturer, take regular breaks, and ensure your play area is clear.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these terms. Upon termination you must stop using and remove the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State in which Union25 LLC is organized, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the applicable laws of the United States.
